Celtic coach John Kennedy has confirmed that the club are looking at signing Scott Sinclair from Aston Villa.
Sinclair joined Villa on a permanent basis last summer, but was unable to prevent them from suffering relegation to the Championship, scoring just two goals in 27 Premier League appearances.
Recent speculation has linked the 27-year-old with a move to the Scottish champions, and Kennedy has confirmed that he is among a number of targets under consideration.
"There are a number of targets we're looking at," he told reporters.
"He is one that has been mentioned, but he's still an Aston Villa player. That is certainly the calibre of player we're looking at."
Celtic will take on Astana in the second leg of their Champions League qualifier on Wednesday, with the tie finely balanced at 1-1 after last week's first leg.
