Former Arsenal and Barcelona striker Thierry Henry has claimed that Pedro will be the "perfect" teammate should he finalise a move to Chelsea.
The Spanish winger was thought to be on the verge of joining Manchester United before the September 1 transfer deadline.
However, the Red Devils have apparently now pulled out of the race to sign the 28-year-old, which has paved the way for Chelsea to make a move.
Henry, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, played alongside Pedro at Barcelona between 2008 and 2010.
"The perfect teammate, the perfect professional - he is that guy," Henry told Sky Sports News. "He pressures from the front, but he's also the player that any manager would love to have. You know what you're going to get with Pedro, always 100%.
"The way he plays, the way he trains, he doesn't talk, he doesn't create any problem for you, he's a team player who had exactly what you would love to have as a teammate, as a player, or if you're the boss."
Pedro came through the youth ranks at Camp Nou.
