David Luiz's current form at Chelsea is casting doubt over his place in the Brazil national side, according to Mano Menezes.

David Luiz's place in the Brazil national side is under threat due to his struggles at Chelsea, according to Mano Menezes.

The Brazil manager admitted that Chelsea's troubles this season are causing Luiz to suffer at international level after his side beat Bosnia.

Menezes said: "He did not have a good game compared to other matches and I don't know whether problems at Chelsea are affecting his work.

"I spoke to him afterwards and told him that players can learn from mistakes. At times he didn't follow orders and gave up too much space.

"But I want to help him with his game. You have to support a player and he needs support and confidence."

Luiz suffered a foot injury during the 2-1 victory and is expected to undergo tests when he arrives back in London.
