Jon Obi Mikel insists that he is eager to break back into Chelsea's starting lineup.

Chelsea midfielder Jon Obi Mikel has said that he is eager to break back into the starting lineup after returning from a hamstring issue earlier this month.

Mikel, who made his first start of 2012 in the FA Cup last weekend, insists that he is not a fan of watching the game and would rather be involved on the pitch.

"I'm not a good watcher of football," he told the club's official website. "After the first half-an-hour of a game I feel like I could go to sleep. I would much rather be involved.

"I've been out for almost eight or nine weeks, which is a long time. It makes it difficult for me to pick up from where I left off. All I can do is keep working hard and convince the manager."

Mikel starts on the bench for Chelsea against Bolton Wanderers this afternoon.
