Atalanta BC allegedly plan to take up their option to sign Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic on a permanent deal in the summer.

Atalanta BC reportedly plan to secure the permanent signing of Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic in the summer.

Despite nearing six years as a Blues player, Pasalic has never made a first-team appearance for the Premier League giants, instead spending loan spells at five different clubs.

During his current spell at Atalanta, which began in 2018, the Croatia international has contributed 10 goals from 46 appearances in Serie A.

According to The Guardian, the performances of the 25-year-old have led to Atalanta having already decided to take up the opportunity to sign the player on a full-time basis.

The Italian outfit, who have reached the Champions League last 16, are said to be ready to push through a £12.5m deal at the end of the campaign.
