A report claims that Barcelona may take up the £13.12m option of re-signing Marc Cucurella from Getafe, just a month after he joined the Madrid-based outfit permanently.

Barcelona are reportedly ready to trigger the buy-back clause in Marc Cucurella's Getafe contract as they seek a replacement for Junior Firpo.

Getafe took up the right to purchase Cucurella on a permanent deal in April following his impressive loan stint in Madrid.

However, Catalunya Radio reports that Barca have the option to re-sign the left-sided player in the summer for €15m (£13.12m).

The report indicates that Cucurella's return may spell the end for Firpo, who has failed to convince since joining from Real Betis last year.

Chelsea are also rumoured to be interested in signing Cucurella should they miss out on Leicester City's Ben Chilwell.
