Chelsea 'want new Gary Cahill deal'

Gary Cahill is reportedly set for a new Chelsea contract worth £120,000 per week.

Chelsea are reportedly keen to tie defender Gary Cahill to a new deal before the season kicks off.

According to The People, the England international will be rewarded with a contract extension after impressing in his first two years at the West London club.

Cahill is said to have been in long-running negotiations with the Blues hierarchy, who are set to offer the 28-year-old a £120,000-per-week salary to keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2018.

The ex-Bolton Wanderers man played in all three of England's games at the World Cup in Brazil.
