Crystal Palace are keen to sign Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan, claims Eagles chairman Steve Parish.

Crystal Palace are keen to sign Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan for the 2022-23 campaign.

The England international has been a regular for the Blues during the current season, making 32 appearances in all competitions, contributing one goal and four assists in the process.

The 26-year-old still has more than two years left to run on his current deal at Stamford Bridge, but there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future in recent months.

Palace chairman Steve Parish is determined for the Eagles to keep hold of Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, who has starred on loan at the club this term, scoring eight times and registering five assists in 32 appearances in all competitions.

However, Parish has said that Loftus-Cheek, who is said to be interesting Lazio, is also a target for the capital team.

"If there's an opportunity to get him (Gallagher) or even Ruben Loftus-Cheek then of course. These are top players and it's been brilliant having him here this year, not just because of what he does on the pitch. Also because of the way he is around the place, the way he is with the media and supporters and because of how special a lad he is," Parish told The Mirror.

Loftus-Cheek previously represented Palace on loan during the 2017-18 campaign, making 25 appearances during a successful spell at Selhurst Park.
