Everton have reportedly joined the race to sign Manchester City striker and soon-to-be free agent Sergio Aguero.
The Argentine will be on the lookout for a new club this summer when his Etihad deal expires, and he is thought to be open to a stay in the Premier League.
Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United are among the English sides supposedly keeping tabs on Aguero, but there is also interest from abroad as Barcelona and Inter Milan contemplate a swoop.
According to the Daily Star, Everton are also in the running to sign the 32-year-old, and they have already come up with a solution to his extortionate wage demands.
The report claims that Carlo Ancelotti's side could not afford to fork out his £240k-a-week salary, but they are willing to include a mammoth signing on-fee in order to negate any losses.
Aguero netted just his second Premier League goal of the season in Saturday's 2-0 win at Crystal Palace, and he could win his fifth Premier League title with Man City on Sunday if Liverpool beat Manchester United.
