Monaco enter Fernando Torres race?

Monaco are reportedly ready to challenge Atletico Madrid for the services of Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.

Monaco are the latest club to have been linked with a move for Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.

Following Diego Costa's arrival at Stamford Bridge earlier this summer, it is expected that Torres will depart the West Londoners before the end of the transfer window.

His former club Atletico Madrid are believed to be interested in his services, but the Spanish champions will now face competition from Monaco for the 30-year-old's signature, according to the Daily Mail.

The report added that Chelsea would accept an offer in the region of £20m for a player on whom they spent £30m more on back in January 2011.
