Alan Pardew has admitted defeat in his battle to keep Demba Ba at Newcastle United.
The Magpies confirmed earlier today that they had given the Senegal international permission to discuss personal terms with Chelsea, who had matched the £7m release clause in his contract.
Despite there being no official confirmation from Chelsea, Pardew believes that the deal has been concluded.
"It's done. He'll go to Chelsea, and with our blessing," Pardew told Sky Sports News prior to his side's clash with Everton at St James' Park.
Reports have claimed that Ba is currently travelling down to London for talks and a medical with the Blues.
