Kagisho Dikgacoi targets Crystal Palace return

Crystal Palace midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi wants to be involved for his club this weekend after sitting out of his country's friendly with Brazil.

Crystal Palace midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi is targeting a return to first-team action this weekend after a back injury.

The midfielder missed South Africa's friendly with Brazil earlier today in order to give himself a chance to play at the weekend.

The 29-year-old revealed that after speaking to the Palace physio, he decided to stay in South London during the international break.

"I've been struggling with my back," Dikgacoi told Palace Player.

"So I had a chat with the physio and he advised me not to travel so I don't aggravate the injury.

"It's best for me to stay behind, get treatment and hopefully be fit for Saturday."

Palace welcome Southampton on Saturday at 3pm.
