Crystal Palace are reportedly chasing Dundee United midfielder Scott Banks ahead of a potential January move.
The 18-year-old is highly regarded in Scottish footballing circles but he has not featured for Robbie Neilson's side since their first league game of the season amid ongoing contract issues.
Banks's current contract with the Arabs expires at the end of this season and his refusal to sign a new one has seen him frozen out of both his club side and the Scotland youth setup.
Now The Sun reports that Roy Hodgson's Palace are stepping up their pursuit of the talented youngster whom they have been on the trail of for months.
Banks, who delivered an impressive cameo for Dundee United in the Scottish League Cup against Hearts back in July, scored once in 15 appearances on loan at Clyde last season.
