West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has reportedly decided to pursue an international career with England.
The 19-year-old has come through the youth system with Republic of Ireland and has made three senior appearances for the Green Army, but each of those outings came in friendlies.
That left the youngster eligible to represent England, and an approach from the Three Lions setup was made in recent months - a move which led to Rice being dropped from the Republic of Ireland.
Martin O'Neill claimed on Thursday morning that he was confident that Rice would choose to continue to represent his team but according to Sky Sports News, Rice has opted to switch allegiances.
The decision is yet to be confirmed, but FIFA would need to amend the player's registration before he can be considered for selection by England.
