Everton chairman Bill Kenwright has lavished praise on manager Roberto Martinez after the Spaniard penned a fresh five-year deal with the club.
The Blues owner described the former Wigan Athletic boss as "one of the best young managers in Europe" and hailed his impact on the Merseysiders.
"In many commentators' eyes, Roberto Martinez is the best young manager in Europe. We agree," he told reporters.
"He has made us even better - in his debut season he broke our Premier League record points haul, got us back into Europe and developed some of the most exciting young footballers in the game.
"He conducts himself off the pitch in the same way. He undertakes his business with great style, confidence, positivity and class. He is an Everton man."
Martinez's new contract will see him remain at Goodison Park until the end of the 2018-19 season.
