David Moyes 'in frame to replace Ronald Koeman at Everton'

Former Everton boss David Moyes will be considered as a possible replacement for Ronald Koeman should the Dutchman be sacked by Toffees chiefs, according to a report.

Everton chiefs are reportedly considering a shock reunion with David Moyes, as manager Ronald Koeman's future continues to hang in the balance.

Toffees bigwigs are said to be ready to swing the axe as far as the Dutchman is concerned following a run of two wins in 12 matches, leaving their European and domestic prospects in tatters.

Everton are now plotting a return for former boss Moyes, according to The Sun, four years after he departed Goodison Park to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.

Moyes, who spent 11 years on Merseyside, lasted less than a full campaign as United boss and has since failed at Real Sociedad and Sunderland.

The report claims that the 54-year-old, also in the frame to take over from Gordon Strachan as Scotland boss, has a strong bond with club chairman Bill Kenwright and will be seriously considered when Koeman is sacked.
