Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has reportedly snubbed the chance to join Everton in order to extend his current deal with the Swans.
The 26-year-old, who enjoyed a summer to remember with Iceland at Euro 2016, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Liberty Stadium in recent times.
Sigurdsson's impressive displays in a City shirt led to talk of a move to a European-chasing team, such as Everton, but The Sun claims that the ex-Tottenham Hotspur man is uninterested in departing the club for a second time.
According to the same report, Sigurdsson is now expected to put pen to paper on a new contract to keep him in place beyond the end of his current terms which are due to expire in two years.
Borussia Dortmund, Hertha Berlin, Tottenham, Leicester City and Southampton are also understood to have made enquiries over the midfielder's availability.
