How France could line up against Turkey

Sports Mole looks at how France could line up for Saturday's Euro 2020 qualifier against Turkey.

France will travel to Turkey on Saturday night looking to make it three wins from their three Group H fixtures thus far.

Didier Deschamps's side have overcome Moldova and Iceland in their first two Euro 2020 qualifiers to collect six points from an available six.

Les Bleus warmed up for Saturday's clash by beating Bolivia 2-0 in a friendly last week.

France might be the reigning world champions, but they have not won a European Championship title since 2000, falling in the quarter-finals in 2004 and 2012, before finishing as runners-up at Euro 2016.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Deschamps's team could line up this weekend.

POSS FRA XI vs. TUR

France will be without the services of N'Golo Kante for their next two internationals with the Chelsea midfielder withdrawing from the squad due to a knee problem.

Club teammate Olivier Giroud is available after missing the clash with Bolivia, however, and should return to the tip of the attack, playing ahead of Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappe and Blaise Matuidi, with the latter's experience likely to be preferred despite the presence of Thomas Lemar and Kingsley Coman.

Captain Hugo Lloris is also available after representing Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final. Lloris should return between the sticks but the back four could be unchanged from the Bolivia fixture as Lucas Digne impressed at left-back.

Further forward, Kante's absence means that Tanguy Ndombele - strongly linked with Tottenham - should start in central midfield alongside Paul Pogba.

Barcelona centre-back Clement Lenglet - one of two uncapped players in the squad alongside goalkeeper Mike Maignan - is also available after recovering from illness.
