Fulham's Kieran Richardson has admitted that the team is "gutted" following their 4-2 defeat at home to Manchester City in the Premier League.
The Cottagers fought back from two goals down to level the match on Saturday, but late strikes from Jesus Navas and James Milner earned the visitors the win.
The result has left Fulham one point from safety heading into a busy Christmas period.
"We're gutted," Richardson told the club's official website. "We played well and worked very hard – there were a lot of positives but we didn't get the three points.
"We're going in the right direction, that's evident for everyone to see with the quality of football we're playing. The next few games are massive for us."
Fulham continue their Premier League campaign on Boxing Day when they face Norwich City at Carrow Road.
