Galatasaray chairman Dursun Ozbek has revealed that Wesley Sneijder is close to signing a new two-year contract with the Turkish outfit.
The Netherlands midfielder joined Gala in 2013 and has won two Turkish titles during his time in Istanbul.
The 31-year-old has been continually linked with a return to Serie A over the last couple of seasons, but Ozbek has said that an announcement regarding a new deal is imminent.
"We are going to announce it officially after that meeting," Ozbek told HaberTurk when questioned on next week's reported meeting with Sneijder's agent.
Sneijder has scored 37 times in 107 games for his current club.
