Germany's goalkeeping coach Andreas Koepke believes that Bastian Schweinsteiger "should be ready" to face Italy on Thursday night.
The midfielder had been rated doubtful for the semi-final clash with an ankle injury.
However, Koepke has revealed that the Bayern Munich player was due to take part in a training session this afternoon.
"He does have a minor problem with his ankle. He did not train for two days and treated it intensively," Koepke told reporters.
"Today he is expected to return to training and he should be ready to play on Thursday."
The 27-year-old has made 94 appearances for his country.
