Germany captain Philipp Lahm has claimed that Bastian Schweinsteiger will be fit for Thursday's semi-final against Italy at Euro 2012.
The midfielder is thought to be a doubt for the match in Warsaw as he struggles with a persistent ankle injury.
However, Lahm believes that he will be able to pull through in time for the clash with the Azzurri.
"[Schweinsteiger] knows his body better than anyone else and I am sure he will be on that pitch on Thursday evening," the defender told reporters.
Holders Spain take on Portugal in the first semi-final on Wednesday night.
