David Wagner's decision to leave bottom club Huddersfield this week took the number of Premier League managers who have departed their posts this season to four.
Here, Press Association Sport takes a look at them.
Slavisa Jokanovic
Despite lifting Fulham back into the top flight via the play-offs, Jokanovic became the first Premier League managerial casualty of the season when he was axed having picked up just one win by November. The rock-bottom Cottagers reacted swiftly in replacing him with Claudio Ranieri, clearly in the hope a little of his Leicester magic would rub off on Craven Cottage.
Mark Hughes
Hughes became the second top-flight boss to lose his job when he was sacked by Southampton at the start of December after eight months in charge. Languishing in 18th place in the Premier League table, the Saints acted swiftly to appoint Austrian former RB Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhuttl as his replacement.
Jose Mourinho
Mourinho departed Manchester United just before Christmas, with the club trailing leaders Manchester City by 19 points and beset by off-field issues, including apparent tensions between Mourinho and midfielder Paul Pogba. Former United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was put in temporary charge until the end of the current season.
David Wagner
Wagner's extraordinary tenure at Huddersfield, whom he led to the top flight and managed to keep there, drew to a close by mutual consent this week. With the Terriers in danger of being cast adrift at the foot of the table, Wagner made his decision following an extended meeting with club owner Dean Hoyle.
