Hull City have officially announced the signing of former Newcastle United goalkeeper Steve Harper on a one-year contract on a free transfer.
The 38-year-old spent 20 years with the Magpies before leaving the Premier League outfit at the end of last season.
A number of Championship clubs had reportedly been keen to secure his signature ahead of the new season, but Hull have moved quickly to acquire the experienced keeper.
Harper becomes the second goalkeeper to arrive at the KC Stadium this summer alongside Scotland international Allan McGregor.
