James Chester has revealed that he is willing to stay at Hull City following their relegation from the Premier League.
The Tigers are expected to face a battle to keep a number of their key players as they prepare for the Championship, and Chester has been linked with Newcastle United, Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion.
However, the Welsh defender has handed Steve Bruce a boost by insisting that he is ready to play a part in Hull's bid for an immediate return to the top flight.
"Other people's interests and nice comments are always good for the ego, but these are scenarios and situations which I can't affect until something changes," Chester told reporters.
"I'm more than happy to be at Hull City."
Bruce has one year remaining on his deal at the KC Stadium.
