Neil Warnock wants Reading promotion

Neil Warnock admits that he would like to see Reading reach the Premier League.

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock has said that he would like to see Reading promoted to the Premier League at the end of the season.

Warnock, who takes his side to the Madejski Stadium this afternoon, insists that Brian McDermott's team is the best that the Championship has to offer at this point in time.

"I want them to go up," he said. "For me, [Reading] are the best side in the Championship.

"They are organised and they have some quality players. They are a good Championship side and Brian McDermott has done a great job there.

"I recommended Kaspars Gorkks who I had at QPR, and he took a few others off me that are great championship lads. It'll be interesting to see what we do."

Meanwhile, Leeds are in 10th place in the table, six points adrift of the top six.
