Leicester City's Marc Albrighton: 'We need to keep our feet on the ground'

Leicester City winger Marc Albrighton says that he and his teammates need to stay grounded as they edge closer to winning the Premier League title.

Leicester City winger Marc Albrighton has claimed that he and his teammates need to stay grounded during the run-in if they want to become Premier League champions.

Claudio Ranieri's side currently have a five-point lead at the top of the table with seven games left to play.

Twelve months ago, the Foxes were battling relegation under then-manager Nigel Pearson, but Ranieri has since transformed the team into title contenders.

"We know what is being said but we've seen a lot happen in that final period," Albrighton told the Daily Star. "Look at us last season. Who would have thought we would stay in the league?

"I'm sure a lot of people would have said we were going down and look at the turnaround we made. We have got to keep our feet on the ground. It is the old cliche but it's true. It's kept us in good stead so far so why change now? You have to pinch yourself that such things are happening."

Leicester have won 19 league games, drawn nine and lost three this season.
