Leicester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez has been voted the BBC African Player of the Year after a worldwide fan poll.
Mahrez played an instrumental role in Leicester's Premier League title triumph last season and that has seen him edge out Liverpool's Sadio Mane to win the accolade.
The Algerian playmaker ended the last campaign with 18 goals from 39 appearances, and he has scored a further seven times from 21 outings since the start of August.
Mahrez also made five appearances for his country during 2016, with his two goals both coming against Lesotho during an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, West Ham United attacker Andre Ayew and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure all finished behind runner-up Mane.
