Nigel Pearson: Leicester City "have to remain focused"

Nigel Pearson insists that "results are more important than performances" as Leicester City look to maintain their recent impressive form when they host Chelsea.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has warned his players that climbing out of the relegation zone is only half the battle in their pursuit of survival.

The Foxes have won four games on the spin to climb off the foot of the Premier League table and out of the bottom three for the first time since November.

Despite their impressive run of form, Pearson insists that there is still a long way to go as his side prepare to welcome champions-elect Chelsea to the King Power Stadium.

"Results are more important than performances. It's been very satisfying to get four wins and it gives us a realistic chance," he told reporters.

"There is still a lot of football to be played. Every game now has something riding on it. There's lots left to do. The only thing that matters is that we're out on the bottom three after 38 games. To do that we have to remain focused."

Leicester have five games still left to go this season, including their meeting with Chelsea on Wednesday night, with four of those fixtures to be played at home.
