Leicester City have kept their playoff hopes alive by snatching a late victory over Birmingham City this evening.
After a stale opening to the game, the visitors took the lead from the spot in the 17th minute after Sol Bamba was adjudged to have brought down Nikola Zigic. Wade Elliott stepped up to comfortably convert the resulting penalty.
The home side were level ten minutes before the break when Jermaine Beckford got into double figures for the season by poking home at the back post after the Blues failed to clear a cross.
Jeffrey Schlupp put the Foxes ahead ten minutes from time by firing past Boaz Myhill before Beckford scored his second in added time to secure the points.
Leicester move up a place to 11th with the win while Birmingham drop to eighth.
