Jurgen Klopp has stressed that Liverpool are "deserved finalists" in the Champions League after seeing out a "crazy" semi-final tie against Roma.
The Reds boasted a 5-2 lead going into Wednesday's second leg at the Stadio Olimpico, though the Giallorossi gave themselves hope with two late goals at Anfield.
Klopp's charges were subsequently made to sweat late on in the Italian capital, conceding twice once again in the latter stages, but held on for a 7-6 aggregate win to book a clash with Real Madrid on May 26.
"We are deserved finalists 100%," the German told BT Sport. "You don't come without luck. We needed it only one time tonight. Real Madrid needed luck yesterday too. That's how it is.
"We have two very important Premier League games then let's go there (the final) and try our best.
"The boys deserve it, the character they showed, the football they showed - it was just crazy. I forgot the score! It was 7-6 right? Unbelievable!"
Liverpool face Chelsea on Sunday before wrapping up the Premier League season at home to Brighton & Hove Albion, while the Champions League final takes place in Kiev at the end of the month.
