Andre Villas-Boas: 'Liverpool will have a go'

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas expects Liverpool to "have a go" when the teams meet in the Premier League later today.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has insisted that Liverpool "will have a go" when the teams meet in the Premier League later today.

Spurs can move to within five points of leaders Arsenal if they win at White Hart Lane, while the visitors will cut the gap to two points with a victory.

Despite his side having home advantage, Villas-Boas expects the in-form Merseysiders to put up a good fight in the capital.

"You wouldn't expect Liverpool to sit and wait, they will have a go," he told the club's official website. "They are strong in the way they play and it could be an open game."

Tottenham head into the match on the back of last weekend's 2-1 win at Sunderland.
