Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes that out-of-form defender Trent Alexander-Arnold may benefit from a conversation with Steven Gerrard.
The 22-year-old has failed to hit the same heights as last season amid Liverpool's winless run, boasting just two assists and no goals from 17 Premier League appearances.
Despite his dip in form, Carragher has reiterated the fact that Alexander-Arnold is still a young player, and he has advised the Liverpool full-back to have a conversation with Gerrard - a man who experienced his own struggles during his early days on Merseyside.
"We too easily forget that Trent Alexander-Arnold is only 22," Carragher wrote in The Telegraph. "Trent could do worse than share a private call with Steven Gerrard.
"I remember well how Stevie overcame a slight dip after his first initial breakthrough into the first team, guided back to his best. It happens."
Liverpool currently find themselves six points behind Premier League table-toppers Manchester United, who also dumped Jurgen Klopp's men out of the FA Cup with a 3-2 win on Sunday.
