Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has warned his club's rivals that the Merseyside outfit will be ready to capitalise on any mistakes made during the season's run-in.
The Reds are seven points adrift of a Champions League place in the table following a late 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday.
Along with Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea are vying for a top-four spot, while Everton are on level points with their Merseyside rivals.
"The teams above will know they can't be making any slip-ups, not only because of us, but for themselves," Sky Sports News quotes Rodgers as saying. "This is the stage of the season when you want to win games, and you have to win them.
"Our recent run of form shows without doubt we're a team which is improving and developing. The result against Tottenham showed the further enhancement of that, and we have to maintain that form to keep moving forward."
The Reds take on Southampton at St Mary's tomorrow.
