Ian Rush is confident that Daniel Sturridge will be "even better" next season for Liverpool.

Former Liverpool striker Ian Rush is confident that Daniel Sturridge will be firing on all cylinders next season.

The England international netted 11 goals in 16 appearances following his move from Chelsea in the January transfer window.

"Sturridge can get even better without a doubt," Rush told the club's official website. "He's got some great skill and with a good pre-season I think you will see an even better Sturridge next season."

Meanwhile, Luis Suarez's future at Anfield remains up in the air following fresh comments from the Uruguayan hinting that he would be open to a move to Real Madrid.
