Luis Alberto keen to thrive at Malaga

Luis Alberto says that he cannot wait to begin his Malaga adventure after joining the club on a season-long loan from Liverpool.

Luis Alberto has revealed that he cannot wait to begin his Malaga adventure after joining the Spanish outfit on a season-long loan move from Liverpool.

Alberto officially joined the Spanish side last week and will now spend at least the next 11 months on loan at La Rosaleda.

"I always like to have the ball at my feet. I'm a player who likes to assist, but also try and reach the finish myself," he told the club's official website.

"I've got a good feeling about this, I was really keen to join Malaga CF. I hope to perform well this upcoming season, both individually and as a team.

"I'd like to thank Malaga and Mario Husillos for giving me this opportunity. I now need to focus on working hard, I hope to perform well this upcoming season, both individually and as a team."

Alberto, 21, joined Liverpool from Sevilla last summer.
