Sam Allardyce has admitted that he would love to bring Andy Carroll to West Ham United.
Carroll has been consistently linked with a move away from Liverpool, with doubts surrounding his ability to fit into new manager Brendan Rodgers's playing style.
Allardyce told Sky Sports News: "How could we not be interested in a player like Andy Carroll, he's a player of great stature in the Premier League.
"Whether Andy Carroll would want to come to West Ham is another matter, it all depends him."
Carroll underlined his physical qualities during Euro 2012, in which he scored a powerful header against Sweden.
Allardyce is expected to face competition to sign Carroll if the 23-year-old does become available.
