Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was reportedly interested in bringing Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford to Anfield during the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old, who made his England debut against Andorra on September 5, scored 17 Premier League goals during an impressive 2020-21 campaign for Leeds.
According to Goal, before Bamford penned a new five-year deal with the Whites in August, Liverpool approached Marcelo Bielsa's side to register their interest.
The report claims that Liverpool approached Leeds to enquire about the striker's availability, but there was never an official offer from the Reds.
Bamford has also started the 2021-22 season in impressive form at club level, scoring once and providing one assist in three Premier League appearances.
The Englishman has scored 44 times and registered 16 assists in 114 appearances for Bielsa's team since making the move from Middlesbrough in July 2018.
