Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has denied that Luis Suarez will be forced out of the club at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old has attracted controversy since joining the club in 2011 and there had been fears that criticism would force him to depart England.
However, Rodgers has quelled such claims and believes that the Uruguayan "loves playing in English football".
"I think he loves playing in English football. I speak with Luis regularly and he loves the passion and excitement of the game over here," Rodgers told reporters.
"What he is, is a player who is mentally very strong - as you can see from his time here the amount of stick he has taken.
"It is actually a driver for him. It really motivates him and he loves being at Liverpool. He loves the city, the club and the supporters so I can't see that happening."
Suarez has scored eight goals for Liverpool this season.
