Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is reportedly feeling "devastated" by Roberto Mancini's decision to drop him from next month's FA Cup final against Wigan Athletic.

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has reportedly been left feeling "devastated" after manager Roberto Mancini decided to drop him from next month's FA Cup final.

The England number one was left out of City's 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the semi-finals on Sunday and replaced by Costel Pantilimon.

Reports have claimed that Mancini has already informed Hart that Pantilimon will be keeping his place for the showdown against Wigan Athletic at Wembley.

"He has no ill-feeling whatsoever towards Costel because he is a professional and wants what is best for the football club," the Daily Star quotes a source as saying.

"But on a personal level he is devastated. Football careers are short and who knows when he will get the chance to play in a cup final at Wembley again."

City will go up against their FA Cup opponents Wigan in the Premier League this week.
