Samir Nasri sidelined with calf injury

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri is expected to be out of action for a month after suffering a calf injury in training.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that midfielder Samir Nasri has suffered a calf injury in training.

Nasri has been a regular fixture in the City side during the first half of the campaign, with the Frenchman making a total of 23 appearances in all competitions.

The 27-year-old had been expected to feature against former club Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, but Pellegrini has ruled his player out until the middle of February after he suffered a calf problem earlier this week.

Nasri will be targeting a return to action ahead of the first leg of the Champions League tie with Barcelona on February 24.
