Kevin De Bruyne: 'I can only get better at Manchester City'

Kevin De Bruyne insists that he will only "get better" as the season goes on at Manchester City.

Kevin De Bruyne has insisted that he will keep improving as he gets more accustomed to life at Manchester City.

The Belgian international, who signed for City for a reported £55m fee from Wolfsburg in the summer, scored his first Premier League goal for the team at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

The 24-year-old pulled a goal back for City towards the end of the first half after they went 2-0 down against West Ham United, but despite waves of attack from the hosts, they were forced to accept a 2-1 defeat.

In the match, De Bruyne started down the right wing, but after David Silva withdrew with an injury, the Belgian moved into a number 10 role behind Sergio Aguero.

"I can only get better if I play with great players," the Manchester Evening News quotes De Bruyne as saying. "This team has a lot of great players.

"It's a little bit different than it was, I think when I know the team a bit better I will get even more of the ball. I am adapting well to the team. It is just the beginning so I don't feel any pressure. I just try to play my game."

City currently sit at the top of the Premier League table with a two-point lead over local rivals Manchester United.
