Barcelona are closing in on a deal to bring Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero to Camp Nou until 2023, according to a report.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is reportedly close to agreeing a two-year deal with Catalan giants Barcelona.

The 32-year-old is running down the clock on the final few months of his Etihad contract, and there is a growing feeling that the 2020-21 campaign could be his last with the four-time Premier League champions.

Aguero was quick to play down speculation linking him with a move to Barca during a recent Twitch livestream, and a return to boyhood club Independiente del Valle has also been mooted.

However, AS report that recently-appointed Barcelona president Joan Laporta is closing in on a deal to bring him to Camp Nou on a two-year contract when he becomes a free agent in the summer.

As a result, Aguero would arrive at the same time as City teammate Eric Garcia, whom Pep Guardiola has confirmed will be joining the Blaugrana for the 2021-22 campaign.

Aguero netted his first Premier League goal of the season in Saturday's 3-0 win at Fulham, and he has found the back of the net 257 times in all competitions for Man City since his 2011 arrival.
