Manchester City 'close in on £60m swoop for Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus'

Manchester City are reportedly prepared to spend a combined £60m to sign Schalke attacker Leroy Sane and Palmeiras youngster Gabriel Jesus.

Manchester City are reportedly close to completing the signings of Schalke 04 attacker Leroy Sane and Palmeiras forward Gabriel Jesus.

The two-time Premier League champions are believed to be willing to spend in excess of £60m on the pair.

City have reportedly been in talks with Schalke over a deal for Sane for some time, and even though the German club are trying to squeeze €50m (£42m) out of the English outfit, there is confidence that a deal will be completed.

According to The Telegraph, City could spend around £40m for Sane with add-ons, while an agreement with Palmeiras for Brazil Under-23 striker Jesus is believed to be edging closer.

The report adds that Jesus, who has been linked to Juventus, Barcelona and Manchester United, has been priced at close to £26m.
