Former Argentina international Juan Sebastian Veron believes that Juventus need a 'top striker' to close the gap on the European elite next season.
The Serie A outfit stormed to the title in Italy, but struggled to make a serious impact in the Champions League. However, Veron believes that the signing of either Manchester City's Carlos Tevez or Real Madrid's Gonzalo Higuain would hand the Italian side a chance of European success.
"Juventus are already an excellent team, but both Higuain and Tevez are the kind of player they are looking for. They have worn the jerseys of some big teams and have made the difference in important games," Veron told Tuttosport.
"They are part of a small group of strikers who can make the difference all by themselves. I think Juventus could win the Champions League if they had a player like Tevez or Higuain."
Athletic Bilbao's Fernando Llorente will arrive at Juventus next month.
