Having allowed both Mario Balotelli and Carlos Tevez to depart for Serie A in recent months, it would be fair to say that Manchester City are a little light in the striking department.
It appears that they are close to addressing that void though, following reports last night that they had agreed a fee with Sevilla for Alvaro Negredo.
