Micah Richards tips Manchester United centre-back Phil Jones to become the captain of England one day.

Manchester City defender Micah Richards believes that Phil Jones has all the attributes to captain England in the future.

Jones made the switch to Manchester United during the summer from Blackburn Rovers, and Richards has also claimed that he is at the right place to make the most of potential.

"Phil Jones is going to be England captain one day. He could play in midfield. He's got everything: pace, reads the game well, is good on the ball," Richards told the Guardian.

"He's at the right club as well because Sir Alex Ferguson promotes young players."

Both players are currently with the England squad preparing for Friday's Euro 2012 qualifier in Montenegro.
