Harry Kane has revealed that the England players are rooting for Wayne Rooney to beat the country's goalscoring record.
The Manchester United striker currently sits on 48 goals for the Three Lions, which is one behind all-time goalscorer Sir Bobby Charlton's tally.
Rooney will have the opportunity to surpass the World Cup winner when England face San Marino in a Euro 2016 qualifier on Saturday.
"He is an incredible talent. Everyone is excited for him," Tottenham Hotspur frontman Kane told The Telegraph.
"Hopefully he can break the England goal-scoring record on this trip. That would be great.
"I am sure he is excited as well. He is a world-class player and he trains very hard to be where he is now. It is great to be able to train with him and learn off him and be able to talk to him as well. He is an all-round top player and a top man."
Rooney has won 105 caps for England.
