Andy Cole: 'It will be tough for Manchester United to finish in top four'

Andy Cole believes that Manchester United will find it "tough" to finish in the top four this season due to the threat from their rivals.

Former Manchester United striker Andy Cole believes that the club face a difficult task of finishing in the top four this season.

Louis van Gaal's side currently occupy the final Champions League spot in the Premier League table, but they only have a one-point cushion.

Southampton and Liverpool are hot on their heels, while Tottenham Hotspur reside six points behind the Red Devils.

"It's definitely going to be tough - I'm not going to sit here and try to pull the wool over anyone's eyes," Cole told MUTV. "Liverpool are on a fantastic run, Arsenal have picked up, but Southampton have fallen away a little bit."

Tonight, United will take on Newcastle United at St James' Park.
