Former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly still owed money by Juventus.
The 37-year-old spent three years at the Italian giants between 2018 and 2021, before leaving the club to join Man United, who recently terminated his contract following an explosive interview given to Piers Morgan for Talk TV.
While Ronaldo is searching for a new club, the Daily Mail claims that he is still owed money by Juventus despite leaving the Turin side over a year ago.
The entire Juventus board recently resigned after an investigation was launched into alleged financial mismanagement.
Ronaldo was believed to be one of a number of players who agreed to take a pay cut during the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, investigators have reportedly found evidence that the Portugal international and the majority of his former teammates still received money from Juventus, who failed to communicate these agreements to the stock market or the Italian football federation.
The forward is currently preparing for Portugal's last-16 meeting with Switzerland, which takes place at the Lusail Iconic Stadium on Tuesday.
